Mt. Gozaisho is Japan’s 200 most famous mountains on the border between Komino-cho, Mie-gun, Mie Prefecture and Higashi-Omi City, Shiga Prefecture. It is also known as a mountain where the scenery of the four seasons is beautiful. You can reach the summit area by ropeway.
Among the many mountain trails of Mt. Gozaisho, I climbed from “Naka mountain trail” which is the best view for beginners.
The picture above is “Jizoiwa”, one of the strange stones of Mt. Gozaisho.Jizo-iwa is a dice-shaped rock that rides on two rocks. It is said to be a rock that “never falls”.It’s a great balance. It was a strange scene, but I was impressed by the amazing nature. There were many other interesting rocks in Gozaisho.
The above picture is the view from the observatory on the left just after climbing the stairs on the Nakadori Trail. The red dot on the right is the ropeway. It looks very small. It was a wonderful view as you can see from the top of the mountain to Ise Bay.
We climbed Mt. Gozaisho during the autumn season.Mountains turn red in order from the highest altitude. At the time of shooting, the middle foliage was in the middle of autumn leaves.Red, yellow, green and vivid colors are beautiful. The red Goshosho ropeway was also an accent and it was a wonderful scenery.* The rocks behind the ropeway are rocks that rock climbers often climb.
This climbing was very popular during the autumn season, so the parking lot was full from the morning. There was a long line of traffic jams in front of the chain along the trail.
Mt. Gozaisho in winter. At this time, I had no experience with Fuyuyama so I climbed after training. The snow in the sun was melting, but the shade was ice-burning.I proceeded carefully so that I would not slip.
I asked a climber who passed each other, but since the 8th station and above are all ice-burn, this time it is up to the 8th station.I want to climb the mountain safely after learning the technique. The first winter mountain was also the best.
